Doing the VoiceThread was a little confusing at first. I spent a couple of days just trying to figure out how to get everything in place, and I had mic trouble. However, once I got through all of that, the fun began. I had my roomate play the voice of Goldilocks, Mama Bear, and Papa Bear. Once I started reading my story, it was not hard nor did it take long at all. My roomate and I had so much fun doing this. We kept having to restart because of our giggles and us messing up. I really felt like it was a play because of the dialogue, narrative voice, and we had the tendency to move our hands as we talked. After I finished my story, I instantly wanted to do another story. I honestly entered this dreading to do the voicethread, but ended up being sad that I finished too quickly. This was a great experience and I know if my roomate and I had fun, then younger children would have a blast with this. This can be implemented into the curriculum by the different standards and subjects on what the students are learning at the time. This is a great interactive way to learn and way to keep students engaged in the activity. I know if I had done this when I was in elementary or middle school, I would have enjoyed reading and writing stories a lot more. If students know that this is an assignment for a particular story or writing activity, they will be more enticed to write just so they can create a voicethread. I will definitely integrate this into lesson plans throughtout the school year and I think teachers everywhere should certainly do the same.
